Valley Grams were delivered February 7th-11th bringing smiles to recipients while raising money for local charities!
The Meet & Greet with Santa at the River Vale Community Center on Saturday, December 4, 2021 raised hundreds of dollars for local charities! Thank you to all those who participated in this charity event!
The Boo Bags charity fundraiser raised hundreds of dollars were raised for local charities! Community members ordered Halloween Boo Bags from our website and we delivered them to the recipients of their choice. Thank you to all those who participated in this fundraiser.
Our Sit, Stay Smile photo fundraiser event raised hundreds of dollars for Good Karma Dog Rescue! Participants posed with their pups for adorable family photos. A portion of each photo session fee went to Good Karma. We also helped provide in-kind donations of goods and items via the Good Karma Dog Rescue Amazon Wish List.
The Monster Mash Children's Halloween Party that took place on Sunday, October 17, 2021, brought the community together for a fun filled afternoon at the River Vale Community Center.
Children had the opportunity to make Halloween themed crafts, play games, dance, enjoy snacks, and competed in a costume contest! They also got to enjoy trunk or treating. Proceeds from this event will benefit local charities!
The Trunk or Treat Contest that took place on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Rive Vale Community Center was a blast! Contestants wowed Monster Mash attendees with their amazing creations and tasty treats. Congratulations to our contest winners: Harry Potter trunk by the Arlia family and their troop, Skeleton Mermaids trunk by the Silver family and 1960s trunk by Brownie Troop 97862!
The Paskack Juniors were pleased to host our second Yoga for Charity fundraiser on Monday, September 20 with our event partner Fitness with Friends. Participants enjoyed a gentle yoga class and received a free tumbler with a straw. Proceeds from the event will benefit local charities. Keep an eye out for our next Yoga for Charity event to take place spring 2022!
The Paskack Junior Woman's Club would like to express our deepest gratitude to the community for the generous school supplies donations we received to benefit children, ages 5-18, who are in foster care. In all we were able to fill 16 new backpacks with school supplies. The backpacks will be presented to the non-profit organization CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) who will ensure they will be delivered to children in foster care in time for the 2021/2022 school year.
Bunny greeted families outside the River Vale Community Center bringing joy to all those who came to see him. Children stepped out of their cars for photographs and received a special bag of treats! Proceeds from the event will benefit local charities.
Community members received candy and toy filled eggs from our “bunnies” who delivered the goodies right to their homes! Proceeds from Egg My Yard benefit local charities.
The GFWC Paskack Junior Woman's Club held a “Share the Love” Valentine’s Day Card Drive in January and February 2021. The Juniors partnered with the Pascack Valley libraries and placed collection boxes at each location. Community members, children, schools and scout groups from the surrounding area created valentine cards for seniors, veterans, first responders, hospitals and essential workers. In all, over 3,000 cards were collected and delivered!
The Holiday House Hop was a wonderful success! Families from all over the Pascack Valley area enjoyed seeing beautifully decorated homes, had fun at our House Hop Stops where they received little goodies for the kids and dropped off their letter to Santa. Nearly 60 letters to Santa were received and each one will be answered by St. Nick himself! They even got to meet Santa, a holiday T-Rex, characters from Frozen and Elf! It was truly a magical experience. Over $450 was raised for local charities and numerous bags of nonperishable food goods were collected for the Tri-Boro Food Pantry.
The Paskack Juniors meet once a month to discuss upcoming events, fundraisers and community service projects. Meetings are free and open to the public.
